The other day, as I walked past , on my way to the gym, I noticed a bunch of new moms taking an exercise class in the park. They had their babies in strollers, lined up along the gate, in the shade. When I entered the gym, I saw a flyer for an excercise class for new moms at .
As a mother of two, I know how hard it is to get back in shape once you have a baby. When my kids were babies, there were only mommy and child yoga classes in the area. I just used the childcare at the gym, so I could work out. When I walked past that group of women working out together, I found myself wishing there were mommy and baby gym classes when I was a new mom. It would have been nice to work out with other women who were also trying to rebuild their stomach muscles and who wanted to get back in shape.
Can anybody recommend a postpartum exercise class? Does your gym have an excellent childcare room? We’d love to hear about all kid-friendly gyms and classes in the area!
