In Brooklyn Bridge Park: Baby Ducks and Dog Vomit Slime

Things I noticed Tuesday while walking in Brooklyn Bridge Park...

I saw baby ducks and geese in a boat-launching ramp. (Sorry the image isn't better but I only had my 50mm and the parent ducks were getting nervous as I crept slowly forward.) The babies still had their down feathers.

Now, more interesting is the Dog Vomit Slime – right out of a comic book or sci-fi movie. I was attracted to the color, and as I was shooting it a ranger came over and told me what it was; being a geek I did some research and fell in love!
