Gowanus' Full Plate CSA Open for Summer Season

If you've been hemming and hawing about whether to sign up for a CSA this spring, here's one more option to make the case for weekly deliveries of fresh local produce: Full Plate CSA.

"We are a collective of farms in the Finger Lakes that market and distribute our organic produce together," said Sara Worden, CSA Coordinator. "We just wrapped up . It was such a success that we are going to do a summer one. Our pickup location will be at ," located at 69 Ninth Street between Second Avenue and Smith Street.

The Full Plate Farm Collective has been working together for over 8 years in Ithaca, N.Y. This summer's share will include certified organic and biodynamic salad greens, melons, tomatoes, potatoes, carrots, beets, squash, broccoli, cabbage and more.

Members will also enjoy a weekly newsletter, filled with information about the produce in your box, recipe ideas, and news from the farmers. The cost is $325 for 12 boxes of organic produce over the period of 23 weeks.
