What Carroll Gardens is Thankful For

Share your holiday thoughts with us.

It's good to take stock on Thanksgiving Day — that's what it's for after all — and people around Carroll Gardens, Cobble Hill, Boerum Hill and Red Hook are thankful for a lot this year.

We asked on Facebook what local institutions residents are thankful for, and got a number of responses.

Reader Lois Berseth said, "Ruthie, we all love having Sylvia there and are happy for each day she can spend with us." She added, "LICH - hope it remains. My husband and I have both relied on their services and will miss them sorely if the close."

Ruthie Rosenfeld wrote, "St Charles Jubilee Senior Center - and their warm, caring staff and instructors, providing my 92 year old mom with a purpose and a destination."

Michelle M Dioca added, "Raccuglia Funeral Home....Vincent and Phillip....true blue down to earth people. Took care of our family during a tough time. Their sincerity and professionalism will never be forgotten. May God Bless Them Always."

Now's your chance to let us know what you're thankful for this year. Share with us in the comments!
