On Nov. 16, 350 people came to support and celebrate their local parks at the second annual Partnerships for Parks Conference where Red Hook Boaters was one of two groups to receive the "Golden Trowel Award" for their superb park activism.
The event, held at New York University School of Law’s Tishman Auditorium, brought together hundreds of attendees and gave park group leaders the chance to network, meet experts, and learn tips they can use immediately to support their efforts.
The night closed with a reception and awards ceremony, where Kateri Jochum represented Red Hook Boaters as the group received The Golden Trowel award.
