Recycle Electronics, Old Clothes at Cobble Hill School This Sunday
PS29 will be collecting electronics, hard drives, textiles and shreddable documents this weekend. Plus, a rummage sale!
Old electronics taking up space in your home? Haul them on over to PS29. The local school has announced their annual Recycling Day will take place in Cobble Hill this Sunday, May 5.
Bring your electronics, textiles and shreddable documents and hard drives to the PS29 Schoolyard, located at 425 Henry Street between Baltic and Kane streets, from 10am until 4pm. "Everything collected will be recycled according to the highest environmental standards," stated a release.
Acceptable electronic items include but are not limited to computers, monitors, printers, scanners, fax machines, copiers, network devices, keyboards, mice, cables, hard drives, cd-roms, circuit boards, VHS & DVD players, radios and stereos, phones, answering machines, pagers and batteries.
Acceptable textiles can be clothing, hats, belts, bags, handbags, matched shoes, curtains, linens, towels, pillows, stuffed animals, ballet and sports uniforms. Organizers ask the donations please be sorted by age and gender and wearable vs. unwearable.
Plus, a rummage sale, composting, document shredding and more.
