Fighting Homelessness in New York City: Potluck and Discussion

At this event hosted by the Park Slope Interfaith Social Justice Network, community members will discuss the extent of NYC's homelessness problem, what the City is doing to combat homelessness, what advocates think about the City's homeless policy, and what residents can do to help out. Attendees will kick things off with a potluck dinner at 7 pm.

Later that same evening, volunteers will participate in the NYC Department of Homeless Services' annual Homeless Outreach Population Estimate. In this event, NYC DHS and volunteers canvass parks, subways, and other public spaces to count people living without shelter in New York City. To participate in this event, you need to register separately online.
