The Science of Romantic Relationships

In this workshop we will examine the cultural forces that shaped the fairy tale ideals of romantic relationships, which pervade common beliefs about how real love is found and maintained. There will be demonstrations of intriguing studies that have helped social scientists discover why humans are so prone to choosing the wrong romantic partners. We’ll also discuss about a growing body of research findings that point out the characteristics in romantic partners that really matter in the quest for enduring love.
