Free City Stomp Drum Circle Trial Class
Designed for kids aged 3 to 7 who have
aged out of circle time music classes and are too young for formal
lessons, City Stomp's Drum
Circle is one
of NYC's most unique classes! Percussion
fundamentals are taught in a fun and relaxed setting designed to nurture
the growing musical mind. Equipped with their own hand drum (provided) kids learn
a new rhythmic concept or rudiment each week, interspersed with movement,
dancing and drum improvisation.
Free
trial classes run through Dec. 15 at select Brooklyn locations.
Reservations required via info@citystompmusic.com.
Drum Circle is one of three levels of classes offered
by City Stomp, an
educational music program that not only features music that families love but
gives a multi-cultural music lesson every week too. Developed to guide musical
development from infancy through the teen years, classes provide age-appropriate
instruction based on the music heard around
New York City: salsa, hip hop, zydeco, funk, reggae, folk and
more. Rooted in Caribbean, African, Latin, Jewish and other cultures, the
songs celebrate the city’s diversity of sights and sounds.
