TEAMS OF
BROOKLYN FIREFIGHTERS FACE OFF IN BBQ CHALLENGE AT FAIRWAY MARKET IN RED HOOK
WEDNESDAY, JULY 30, 2014 

New York’s Bravest will
compete in Fairway’s Firefighters Food Face-Off,   a grilling
“throw down” that will pit two firefighter teams from Red Hook and two teams from
Brooklyn Heights against one another to determine whose
barbecue is best at 12 noon on Wednesday, July 30, 2014
on the waterfront by the Red Hook store  – 480-500 Van Brunt
Street  (Rain or Shine).  A panel of judges, which includes
Fairway’s Vincent Olivieri and Steve Jenkins, George Fiala from the Red Hook
Star, and Noah Horowitz of the Brooklyn Paper will determine the winner by sampling
burgers, ribs, and chicken.
