NY1’S CHERYL WILLS CELEBRATES THE 150TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE EMANCIPATION PROCLAMATION AT MEDGAR EVERS COLLEGE


 


Cheryl Wills, NY 1 Weekend Evening Anchor and author of Die Free: A Heroic Family Tale will present The 150th Anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation: The Legacy of Black Civil War Soldiers and discuss the varied treatment of black and white soldiers during the Civil War  on Wednesday, February 26th at 6:30 p.m. at Edison O. Jackson Auditorium, 1638 Bedford Avenue in Brooklyn.  A book signing will follow the discussion.


 


The event is free and open to the public. Additional activities and programs will take place throughout the month including lecture, performances, film screenings and discussions.
