The U.S.
Small Business Administration (SBA) and Carroll Gardens Association, Inc. (CGA)
will once again cosponsor a workshop series on entrepreneurship and small
business assistance. The workshops are designed to help small businesses and
those that are thinking of starting their own business. The SBA/CGA partnership
allows for government resources for small businesses to be available to the
Brooklyn community. Each session in the series will cover a variety of topics: Establishing
a Business, Legal Business Structures, Business Plan Basics, Business Income Tax, Establishing Good Credit, Success Stories, and How to Fund Your Start-up.
Attendees also have the chance to sign-up for one-on-one business counseling
with a SBA representative.
On January 16, 2014 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm, SBA and CGA will hold their first session of the 2014 series, “Establishing a Business,” at CGA’s office on 201 Columbia Street in Brooklyn. Led by a Small Business Development Corporation specialist, the seminar will address decisions you will make on the type of business you will open.
