Where To Celebrate a Traditional Jewish Christmas

Chinese food and a movie? You've come to the right neighborhood.

If your Christmas has nothing to do with a tree, church, or carols, then perhaps you would prefer spending today celebrating time off from work with a "Traditional Jewish Christmas aka A Chinese Feast," as Mile End Deli owner Noah Bernamoff put it in a tweet at the end of last week.

Boerum Hill's beloved Montreal-Jewish delicatessan is hosting its third annual sit-down version of the time-honored takeout meal with a spectacular $65 prix fixe menu featuring:

  • Dan Dan Noodles with Spicy Lamb, Bamboo Shoots with Chilis, Marinated Cucumbers
  • Hot & Sour Soup
  • Dry Rubbed Chicken Wings, Smoked Bluefish Toast, BBQ Duck, Chinese Vegetable and Jasmine Rice

Seatings will take place at 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 25 and Wednesday, Dec. 26. Reservations must be made by calling 646-494-9508. Vegetarian option is available.

Now, there's only one more decision: Cobble Hill Cinemas or UA Court Street Stadium? We hear Les Miserables is phenomenal.
