Sandy Puts Pressure on NYC Hospitals

Power Outage at NYU Hospital force evacuation; FDNY responds to fire at Coney Island Hospital.

Mayor Michael Bloomberg says the city is evacuating patients from NYU Hospital to New York-Presbyterian Hospital due to a loss of power, 660 News is reporting.

Meanwhile at Coney Island Hospital, the FDNY has been called to deal with a third-floor fire with large amounts of smoke.
