Jewelry Thieves Arrested in Cobble Hill Suspected of Hitting 15 Shops Across NYC

Three sticky-fingered criminals cuffed on Court St. this morning are believed to be tied to more than a dozen similar burglaries across the city.

A citywide burglary pattern may have been brought to an end early Wednesday morning when three thieves were arrested at a Cobble Hill jewelry shop.

For weeks, NYPD has been tracking a trio of burglars as they struck shops in Manhattan and Brooklyn, using the same tactics each time. "They hit nothing but jewelry stores across the city," a police source told Patch. "Using whatever tools they had, they would break through the metal roll-down gates, then do a smash-and-grab for whatever they could take."

Three sticky-fingered crooks brought down by special detectives in Cobble Hill on Wednesday morning are believed to be responsible for at least a dozen other related burglaries.
