Eat It, Sandy: Dine Out and Donate at Battersby

Carroll Gardens restaurant benefit donates toward recovery

As the waterfront communities of Brooklyn continue to recover from Hurricane Sandy, there are many ways you can help their efforts—like putting your money where your mouth is.

If you're already planning to dine out this weekend, why not go somewhere that is donating proceeds to the cause?

Battersby is holding a buffet-style benefit on Veterans Day, Monday, Nov. 12. On the menu will be passed hors d'oeuvres, casual food, beer, wine, and cocktails.

Tickets are $75 per person. Purchase yours via email or at the restaurant during its regular business hours this weekend.

Or, if cooking meals and working up elbow grease is more your bag, you can visit the Occupy Sandy website or the Park Slope Armory volunteer sign-up page to participate in some hands-on neighborliness.

Good god, she's been here forever! Just say no thanks and move on. She's harmless.
