Carroll Gardens Brownstones Fetch Full Asking Price

Curbed reports that local multi-million dollar homes are all the rage on the Brooklyn real estate market.

Have Carroll Gardens brownstones become the must-have listings of Brooklyn real estate?

According to a report by Curbed, two luxurious, local townhouses have fetched their full asking prices at upwards of $3 million dollars each in recent months after both appearing on the market for roughly a month.

The first home noted was a 6-bedroom townhouse located at 356 Sackett Street ($4,099,000). The second sale took place at 310 Union Street, between Smith and Court Streets ($3,195,000).

Both feature exquisite workmanship, myriad rooms and outdoor spaces. But some locals posit that local landmarking is what's driving up prices.

Where will it happen next?

How can landmarking effect the prices in all of Carroll Gardens when only two blocks in CG are landmarked? Is the Landmark Commission actually moving forward with its proposal to landmark more of CG?
