Bourgeois Pig Rumored To Close Permanently

Plus, other vacant spaces and stirrings in Carroll Gardens, Cobble Hill and Boerum Hill.

The Bourgeois Pig is cooked, or so say those who worked at the Carroll Gardens location.

After being closed for more than a month "for renovations," individuals wrote in to Eater.com to say the staff are seeking employment elsewhere. This closure, if true, comes after two other BP locations in Manhattan shuttered as well.

On the opposite side of Court Street, the space which formerly housed Vinzee's remains vacant after roughly than six months. The old Five Guys space, which closed over the summer, also remains empty.

But when one patty purveyor closes, another opens not long after. Further down Court Street, at the intersection of Pacific Street, a new outpost of sustainable micro-chain Bareburger will be taking over the space next to Yemen Cuisine.

More changes are also afoot on Bergen Street, where Recession Art will take over the gallery formerly known as Muriel Guepin.
