A Capella Comes To Carroll Gardens

The Colgate Thirteen singing group will perform outside of Shelsky's Smoked Fish as well as Carroll Park on Saturday.

Prepare to hear some harmonizing, neighbors.

The Colgate Thirteen a capella performers will be belting out a collection of new and old favorites for the public in two sesions around Carroll Gardens on Saturday. In fact, one of our own is an alum of the group.

"I am an a capella nerd," says Peter Shelsky of Shelsky's Smoked Fish. "I was in the Colgate Thirteen, Colgate University's all male a capella group [in college]."

The current group will be singing for their supper, so to speak, in front of Shelsky's store Saturday, Feb. 2 at 12:45 pm.

Then, at around 2:30 pm, they will put on a second performance in Carroll Park "for any kids and families that might be in the park!"

"Who knows? I might join the boys for a song or two!" says Shelsky.

Tune in to find out if he does.
