5 Things: New Restaurants, New Yoga Classes, and Subway Information

Carroll Gardens, Cobble Hill and Boerum Hill news and events you won't want to miss.

1. Hit the new joints in town. A bunch of new restaurants and bars have opened in the neighborhood recently. From Hunter's on Smith Street to Saul Bolton's (Saul, Vanderbilt) latest outpost Red Gravy on Atlantic, to Krescendo in Boerum Hill and Libertador in Cobble Hill, not to mention The Pines and Runner & Stone in Gowanus, there are ever more places to sate a healthy appetite.

2. Make good on your New Year's resolution. Speaking of healthy... You promised to get more exercise! So head to Element Natural Healing Arts, Area Yoga or Take Root (now officially open!) studios and try out one of their 2013 classes.

3. Get the kids out of the house. If you have little ones why not take a mini fieldtrip outside the neighborhood? Head to Dean Street for a Singalong with Lloyd. 755 Dean at Underhill. 10:30 a.m. $5 per family.

4. Find out if your train is running. For the most part, F/G trains are running normally. However, between midnight and 5 a.m., Manhattan-bound Q trains will run through the tunnel to Manhattan (so leave extra time) and Manhattan-bound 4 trains run express between Utica and Atlantic (though 2 trains will make local stops). Also, Coney Island-bound Q trains run express between Prospect Park and Sheepshead Bay between 9:45 a.m. and 3 p.m. every Wed-Fri. until Feb. 1, according to the MTA
