5 Things: Exercise, Brunch and Story Time

A guide to a fun and relaxing Sunday.

 

1. Get new stuff. In the market for a new (to you) piece of furniture or picture? A huge yard sale begins at 10 a.m. at 731 East 8 St. Antiques, vintage finds, wall art and other goodies will be up for sale until 4:30 p.m. . 

2. Get fit with a partner. Happy Couple Workout is a collection of interactive exercises exclusively for couples, with an emphasis on resistance training. Kids are welcome. 11 a.m., $10. Prospect Park, Prospect Park West & 9th St.

3. Get brunch. Prospect, a modern new-American restaurant and bar located at 773 Fulton St, is now serving brunch. Everything from mimosas to oysters to crepes are on the brunch menu, which is offered every Sunday from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.

4. Get read to. It's baby story time at Greenlight Bookstore at 686 Fulton St. this Sunday at 11 a.m. Children's performers Miss Nina, Jon Samson, and Vered entertain babies and toddlers under 3 years old with stories, songs and interactive play.

5. Get poetic. In honor of National Poetry Month, the New York Transit Museum has invited children 6 years and older to celebrate the event by drawing pictures. 1:30 p.m., $7 ($5 for children ages 2-17 and seniors)
