5 Things: CB6 Meeting Tomorrow Night! Plus, Oz

What you need to know, pre-coffee.

1. Participate in your community:
The Community Board 6 monthly general meeting will take place tomorrow night at John Jay High School, 237 7th Avenue in Park Slope. On the agenda: In additional to various sidewalk café permits and landmarking issues, the board will be making its official recommendations regarding hot issues such as the upcoming Park SMART program on Smith and Court Streets, and the Atlantic Basin/Red Hook Greenway project. Meeting begins at 6:30 p.m.

2. Follow the yellow brick road: Curious to see how James Franco fares as Oz, The Great and Powerful? It's playing in 3D at Cobble Hill Cinemas! Catch one of several available showings and compare notes with resident Patch film critic Nathan Duke of the Bayside-Douglaston site.

3. Do the Bartman: Williamsburg's Nitehawk Cinema is showing old reruns of America's best television show, The Simpsons, every Monday night for free from 10 p.m. to 12 a.m. Click here for more information.

4. Take care of some housekeeping: Daylight Saving Time (which started on Sunday) is an excellent time to replace the batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. If you haven't done so, now is the time.

5. Move your car: Alternate side parking is in effect today.
