Introduction to Intermittent Fasting Workshop with Steven Guidi Sun Date: 3/23/2014 From: 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm This workshop will introduce participants to the ancient art and modern science of fasting. We'll explore the history of fasting for health and spirituality, as well as modern research demonstrating it's many benefits. Participants will learn how to implement a simple intermittent fasting program showed in many studies to:

-promote weight loss, especially belly fat

-decrease inflammation and oxidative stress

-lower blood pressure and blood sugar

-decrease risk for cardiovascular disease, neurodegenerative disease, diabetes, cancer, and other illnesses.

All will be invited back to a one month follow-up workshop to share experiences and insights, and to take stock of any health improvements.
