Design Kick-Off Ceremony for Dancewave's New Home in Downtown Brooklyn

Brooklyn President, Marty Markowitz and Council Member, Steve Levin will join as special guest speakers as part of Dancewave’s Design Kick-Off Event. This event will be held on Nov. 12, 11 a.m. on the grounds of Dancewave’s future home, 182 4th Avenue, Brooklyn. Dancewave’s new space is set to open Fall 2016.

The planned 3,600 sq. ft. center will contain two dance studios and a performance space seating 80 to 100 persons. Featuring multiple, cutting edge dance studios, the new Dancewave center will be able to accommodate Brooklyn's flourishing interest in the performing arts. The new space will provide enhanced facilities for larger classes, more offerings, and increased community performances.

The location of the new Dancewave Center, at Fourth Avenue and DeGraw Street, will affirm Dancewave’s place at the vanguard of matching cultural excitement and excellence to the hundreds of millions of dollars of housing and commercial development reshaping the face of Fourth Avenue.

“Dancewave gives the youth of Brooklyn an opportunity to learn, be creative, and explore new forms of dance. Dancewave changes lives and plays an important role in our community. I’m excited to help break ground on the new Dancewave building and to support Dancewave in its future endeavors.” --Council Member Steve Levin
