Shana Luther Handbags Launches Kickstarter Campaign

Pratt graduate and Carroll Gardens-based handbag designer Shana Luther has had a line of handmade leather handbags for years, but until now they were only available to those in the know. "It's always been a goal of mine to branch out and reach a broader market," she says. "So I've been hard at work designing a new collection. I'm very proud to say that I've been working with a Brooklyn manufacturer and the new line is ready to go!" The Shana Luther Collection is a line of contemporary leather handbags available in four styles and five colors that are both stylish and functional. They can currently be pre-ordered via Luther's Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for her first production run. Buy yours now before she gets discovered by Barney's.

Spotted inside of the storefront window, a recent sign seeks a "part-time salesperson with experience in small boutique retail. Must be available weekends." Resumes can be dropped off at the store.

Upon a recent visit to this chic clothing shop, we were worried to see that the windows had been covered over in brown craft paper. But the store is simply undergoing renovations. It is expected to reopen shortly.
