Tacos de Pescado from Alma

These tacos has just the right amount of spice.

I only truly enjoy Mexican food when it is hot outside. I'm sure you can determine why.

The best place to eat in the summer is on the roof of , where even if the food was terrible the restaurant would survive because of the breathtaking and unobstructed views of the city and working waterfront of South Brooklyn. Luckily, the Mexican food at Alma is tried and true. Nothing is ridiculously amazing, but everything is good.

The tacos de pescado, or fish tacos, on a recent hot Saturday night on the roof, were better than good. The flaky white fish wasn't fried, and therefore the dish was lighter than usual. The shells were blue corn and hard, also a welcome change from the usual soft white corn tacos. Chipotle aioli and magno salsa rounded out the flavors: a little bit of sweet, a little bit of spice, a classic science.

I ate the tacos with house-made guacamole, and sangria to sweeten your mouth. This is highly suggested.
