Arthur on Smith Officially Open for Dinner

The new outfit from chef Joe Isidori and restaurant blogger Bruce Buschel, both of Southfork Kitchen in Montauk, Arthur on Smith is officially open for business. The menu features dishes like smoked duck "saltimbocca," gnocchi with pork ragu, and Maine mussels fra diavolo, and sources from local farms and purveyors.

Pok Pok NY Thai Restaurant Arrives in Columbia Waterfront District

Portland chef and restaurateur Andy Ricker has opened his first sit-down restaurant in NYC in our very own Columbia Waterfront District as of today. The 25-seat space located at 127 Columbia Street between Kane and Degraw Streets will be serving traditional Thai food such as sweet and sour game hen and minced catfish salad. And they are already getting involved in community affairs, playing host to the Brooklyn Greenway Initiative for their "Sunday Afternoon Garden Party" on Sunday, April 22 at 1:00 p.m. For more details, visit the Columbia Waterfront Neighborhood Association website.

Rucola Celebrates First Anniversary

EaterNY visited with cousins and owners Julian Brizzi and Henry Rich of Boerum Hill favorite  for a Q&A reflecting on their first year of business. "We went out with Chef Joe and Patrick on a ramp hunt right before we opened," Rich told EaterNY. "We put ramps on everything: fish, veal, pasta, sides of ramps, pesto.." "Ramp butter on the veal...." added Brizzi. "And now its ramps season again," said Rich. "It's exciting because people get really excited about ramps, and for us it's always going to feel like that's our birthday."

Sadie's Kitchen Closes Down For Renovations

Local mac 'n' cheese mecca has mysteriously closed for renovations. Efforts to reach owners yielded no response at press time. No word yet on when they plan to reopen.
