Photo of the Day: Rings on Fallen Tree on Eighth Ave.

A week after this tree crashed down during Hurricane Sandy, it was cut up into logs and removed.

After Post-Sandy cleanup efforts, all that is left from this 30-year-old tree that fell during the hurricane's strong winds is a stump.

This tree, on Eighth Ave. and Montgomery Pl., was ripped from the ground and smashed a street light on its way down to the ground. Counting the rings of the tree, one ring per year, Park Slope Patch counted that this tree is about 30 years old.

Today, upload pictures of Hurricane Sandy cleanup throughout Park Slope and Gowanus to this article, our Facebook page or e-mail them to Will.Yakowicz@Patch.com

Would you rather they pick up the whole downed tree with a crane and load it onto a truck? Once Mother Nature knocks a tree down, I don't think she cares how people dispose of it.

Katherine, you know that the tree fell down during Sandy, right? They didn't cut it down, they chopped it into logs after it already fell down....
