Photo of the Day: Kittery is the New Diego

The new restaurant taking over 305 Smith St. has put up signage that evokes a seafood shack.

Who's in the mood for lobster, oysters and clams? There will be a new outfit at which to enjoy them once Kittery—located at 305 Smith Street between Union and President Streets where was briefly located—opens to the public. The new restaurant recently gave its facade a facelift with a whitewashed wall and an oversized crustacean, evoking all the best of New England seafood shacks.

Are you excited for a new seafood restaurant on Smith Street? Tell us in the comments!

I'm not sure how many lobster/oyster places this area of Brooklyn can sustain.

This is a perfect place for a seafood restaurant. I don't think there are any in this area of brooklyn.

Hopefully the food and management are better than Diego and Smith Union. Its such a nice space...i would like to see something do well there. However, the neighborhood clientele don't seem to support sub par food and service.
