Mr. Met Comes To Carroll Gardens On Friday

The popular Mets mascot will be at Citibank on Court Street for pictures, autographs, and other fun.

Young Carroll Gardens Mets fans will receive a special treat this weekend when a special guest stops by the neighborhood.

Mr. Met, the iconic New York Mets team mascot, will be making an appearance at Citibank, located at 375 Court Street between 1st Place and Carroll Street, to take photographs with little ballplayers and big kids alike.

According to Vincent Mazzone, of Mazzone's Hardware and the Court Street Merchants Association, the event is the brainstorm of Anthony Bertuccio, manager of the Carroll Gardens Citibank branch, who has become very active in the community since taking on the role three months ago.

Mr. Met will be around for photos and high fives between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. Plus, refreshments, giveaways and a coloring contest for children.

Sounds like a home run!

Good god, she's been here forever! Just say no thanks and move on. She's harmless.
