Is Gowanus Getting a Shuffleboard Club?

Rumor has it that one is planned to open Spring 2013.

According to an article that ran on Gothamist Thursday afternoon, Gowanus may be the future home of New York City's first shuffleboard club.

"We hear your grandparent's favorite game could get a proper welcome to the city, with a 17,000-square-foot club in Gowanus," wrote Jen Carlson in the article. "The aim is to offer up food and drinks, and even roof shuffleboard—and make no mistake about it, the owners are aiming for a shuffleboard club, not a bar with a shuffleboard court in it."

Carlson didn't, however, include the names of the alleged owners, nor did she give any indication of where in Gowanus the business would be located.
