Eat, Pray, Naptime in Carroll Gardens

At Take Root toddler yoga classes, children learn basic postures, easy stretches and body confidence.

Looking to escape the summer heat with your little ones? Why not introduce them to some sun salutations in a cool, intimate Brooklyn yoga space.

Take Root noshery and yoga studio, located at 187 Sackett Street between Henry and Hicks streets in Carroll Gardens, offers a series of Little Yogis classes for children between the ages of 2 and 6 on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturdays.

Trust us: You've never seen anything cuter than a circle of toddlers chanting "om." Especially when the following chant is the word "moo."

Each class is $12 and reservations can be made through the Take Root website

Not only are the classes sweet, says co-owner and head yoga instructor Anna Hieronimus, but "they provide a safe space for children to move their bodies, express themselves and build confidence."

Not sure if junior is ready for jivamukti? Start slow. The Little Yogis Reading Circle, Saturdays at 10 a.m., involves a series of easy stretches coordinated with a narrative from a different story each week and costs just $5 per child.

Bonus: The restaurant is not open for brunch on Saturdays. So resident chef and co-owner Elise Kornack whips up a fun pastry for parents and kids who are in the space.
