Dine In Brooklyn Starts March 21!

For 10 days a year, even the priciest Brooklyn restaurants become affordable.

That’s right, it’s time for Dine in Brooklyn, and from March 21 to March 31 a three-course dinner costs $25. A three-course lunch will set you back $20.11 (get it?) and other restaurants will offer two-for-the-price-of-one deals.

“Foodies, start your engines,” said Borough President Marty Markowitz, who touted the event entering its eighth year. “Your table is waiting!”

Over 20 eateries the neighborhood are slated to participate in the food-fest, including , and . 

But Dine In Brooklyn gives a great excuse to venture out of the neighborhood and try a new restaurant, too.

We did plenty of “preview” dining during Markowitz’s announcement, and can attest to the quality of much of the food being served starting at the end of the month.

• The lobster tacos with guacamole from were deliciously simple.

• The smoked salmon wrapped around a mascarpone-caper pesto from Scottadito in Park Slope was as fantastic as it sounds. The salmon and cheese made for a great salty-creamy contrast.

• The juicy pork tenderloin from served with a tangy sweet hot pepper sauce had a great bite to go with the tender meat marinated in rosemary and thyme.

• And for dessert, we grabbed — what else — a slice of Junior’s cheesecake.
