A Turkey Panini

Ted & Honey sandwiches are the best

I've now had two different sandwiches at , (and innumerable cookies and coffees). The first, a roasted winter squash and housemade mozzarella panini; the second, brine smoked turkey, thick cut bacon, housemade mozzarella and hot pepper relish. Is one better than the other?

I had the turkey most recently, yesterday to be exact, and I honestly can't choose one over the other. Both are rich in flavors, yet light in affect. This is a case of mood, through and through. If you want something on the hearty spicy side, as I did yesterday, go with the turkey.

Now, this sandwich would have been delicious with just the turkey, cheese and spicy relish (ask for extra relish, or is it jam?), but what really made this panini great was the added crunch and fatty drip of bacon. A few slices is all you need.

Crunch is also present in the perfectly pressed panini. The bread breaks apart with the slightest bite, but the interior is soft and hot.

Ted & Honey serve all their sandwiches with a side salad, dressed lightly in a sweet vinaigrette. This makes everything feel a bit healthier. And with much of their products made in house, you know the quality is high.

There have been rumors that Ted & Honey is NOT opening up a second shop on Degraw and Clinton streets, . We've found these to be just that: rumors. Be patient!
