A Dubuque Burger & Tempura Green Beans

Juicy and tangy

, a hole in the wall burger shop (primarily), is named for its location. We're not talking Dubuque, Iowa, but Down Under the Brooklyn Queens Expressway. But the restaurant is more than just a clever name. The burgers are darn good.

Each one comes with a tangy dollap of coleslaw on top, which adds texture and moistness. You really don't need cheese with these burgers. The patties are a little on the small side, but that's okay with me. (Side note: we can all stand to eat less beef.)

The burgers were moist and came with a pickle that almost made an audible snap when you bit into it.

On the night we ate at Dubuque, tempura green beans were on the menu. We didn't need fries!

If you're a burger eater, you definitely need to check out Dubuque. The space is simple and the food verging on gourmet.
