A Building on Bond Veggie Burger

With a delicious side salad

is a coffee shop, a laptop friendly cafe and a restaurant. Impressively, Building on Bond is all of these things at the same time. People grab coffees on their way to the subway. Writers and students tap at computers, lingering over coffee. People on lunch dates can order sandwiches from a waiter.

If the space itself wasn't so welcoming it wouldn't really matter much because the aforementioned sandwiches are healthy and delicious. On a recent blustery afternoon I was both a writer working on a laptop and a lunch goer.

The house made veggie burger I ordered came with a beautiful and light side salad. The burger was crafted with lentils and, most pleasantly, sunflower seeds. Served with a smear of sundried tomato paste, and the requisite lettuce, tomato and onion, (at BoB the onions are pickled, delicious), the sandwich made me feel like a super powered rabbit. You know that feeling you get when you eat something really healthy? It's great.

All that healthy power came to me for just $10. Can't go wrong with that.
