We've seen hundreds of events come and go in the community, but how often does one pass you by that you wish you hadn't missed out on? That's where we come in. Each week Carroll Gardens Patch will post a quick reminder about the events, activities or important tasks whose deadlines have come.
Today the deadline is looming to help SUNY Downstate Medical Center at Long Island College Hospital, which applied for funding from LIVESTRONG to bring The Creative Center’s Hospital Artists-in Residence Program to the LICH. A vote by the community will determine what hospitals will get the funding. The organizations receiving the most votes within their regions will be awarded funds, materials and training to implement the program, which will be offered free of charge to enhance the quality of life for cancer patients.
