You are right. New developers will be trying to build other high risers This location was the ILA a beautiful medical building for longshoreman. Developers came along, Clarett Group etc. It ws a medical clinic that all patients came from near n far. Medical Equipment for testing, lab etc. Than it ws torn down- Condos Now, doctors are buying out condos for suites. Unbelievable. ILA Medical building should never have been torn down. Now, we are struggling to keep our only hospital LICH from closing. Union -Sackett street new development went Condos. These doctors are the same ones who over years treated patients in ILA medical building. Now are struggling to keep LICH open. Developers and bankers are invading our community and ripping out our properties and businesses. Family mom n pop stores, grocery stores etc. It's detrimental To keep LICH open. Give us a local supermarket. Instead of banks.
