Stars Invade Smith Street

Smith Street bore a passing resemblance to Hollywood Boulevard on Monday as A-list actors and actresses filmed out of two locations across from Carroll Park.

Patch spotted Daniel Radcliffe, perhaps best known for his role as Harry Potter, dressed in period garb as he walked from a set inside to a trailer parked further down the block.

The film, Kill Your Darlings, has been described on media outlets as a murder mystery set in 1944 that draws together some of the most famous beat poets of the generation, such as Allen Ginsburg, played by Radcliffe. Other actors attached to the film include Elizabeth Olsen, Michael C. Hall, Ben Foster, Jennifer Jason Leigh, David Cross and Kyra Sedgwick.

If you're stuck at work and disappointed to miss a celeb sighting, there will still be opportunities after your evening commute. Darlings is scheduled to be shooting at 335 Smith Street and 347 Smith Street through 9:00 p.m. Monday evening, according to Brooklyn Community Board 6.
