Stacy London Lives on Hazelnuts, Loves Battersby Despite 'B' Grade

Cobble Hill's celebrity style maven, author and co-host of TLC's What Not To Wear shared one doozy of a diet with Grub Street this week.

Here are two things we learned about Cobble Hill resident and celebrity style maven Stacy London in New York magazine's Grub Street Diet column this week:

She's quick with a dinosaur quip and she loves to support South Brooklyn restaurants and food shops.

Despite disliking eggs, eschewing nightshade fruits, avoiding organs, giving up cheese and simultaneously embarking on the ever-so-hip Paleo diet, London managed to show love to her favorite local spots, ranging from Stinky Bklyn to Watty & Meg.

Below are London's neighborhood-related food recommendations from the column. For the full read (and many, many Jurassic jokes) head over to Grub Street.

Watty & Meg: "I get the kale, quinoa, and avocado salad, but since each ingredient comes in its own pile on the plate, I skip eating the quinoa (I can’t remember if that’s allowed). For my main dish, I have grilled tilefish with an eensy bit of lobster. It’s all delicious — though Alexis's cheeseburger and fries look way more delicious."

Provence en Boite: "Normally, I would stuff my face with pain aux chocolats or crepes or croque madames."

Momofuku Milk Bar: "I want a cereal milk shake..."

Brooklyn Farmacy: or "...a Sundae of Broken Dreams"

Stinky Bklyn: "Pick up some awesome gorgonzola dolce, la peral blue, aged gouda, and a variety of the yummiest cheeses ever there, too, next time you’re in the ‘hood."

Battersby: "We got this watermelon and razor clams amuse bouche... It was fabulous. He did something with green peas and salad that was warm, and even though it was so hot outside, we could not stop devouring it. There was a sunny-side-up egg and tripe — and that I had to pass on, because even though I said that I'm Paleo and gluten- and dairy- and sugar-free, I don't like organs. And then we got this amazing Wagyu beef short rib with crispy kale that was out of this world."
