Rolling Stones Choose Newark Over Barclays Center for Tour

Brooklyn won't get no satisfaction, but an insider says the choice had to do with the logistics of filming a pay-per-view show.

You can’t always get what you want, Brooklyn.

Despite rumors, the Rolling Stones have panned the Barclays Center in favor of Newark’s Prudential Center for their 50th anniversary shows, according to the New York Daily News.

The New Jersey shows will take place Dec. 13 and 15, following two London shows on Nov. 25 and 29.

The band went with the Prudential Center because it had the time and resources to allocate to filming the Dec. 15 show for a pay-per-view event. The program will be titled “One More Shot,” and will be broadcast live at 9 p.m.

“You need a certain amount of time to get in and set up the cameras for a big pay-per-view production,” a source with the band told the Daily News. “And it can only be done on certain days. The Prudential had those days of availability.”

“Sorry to keep you all hanging around, but the waiting is over,” Keith Richards, the band’s guitarist, said in a statement on Monday. “I’ve always said the best place for rock and roll is on the stage and the same is true for the Stones. I’m here with Mick, Charlie and Ronnie and everything is rocking.”

The upcoming shows will be the first time the main members of the band have performed together in five years, since a three-night stint at London’s O2 Arena in 2007.

Good god, she's been here forever! Just say no thanks and move on. She's harmless.
