First Annual American Fine Craft Show Brooklyn to Debut

For the first time the American Fine Craft Show Brooklyn will fill the Brooklyn Museum 90 exhibits of handmade fine crafts and art for sale.

Eleven Brooklyn artisans and artists will participate in the landmark Brooklyn Museum Beaux-Arts Court on Dec. 14 and 15.

The show will feature many Brooklyn artisans in jewelry, home decor, glassmaking and much more. Brooklyn exhibitors include fashion designer Susanne Schubert and her Umsteigen series, Loren Celedonia’s jewelry, Nonna Hall and Jessie Lazar’s ceramics, Jean Lugrin Ferlesch’s embroidered pillows and Jinsheng Wang’s mixed media pieces.

Along with the show, current Brooklyn Museum exhibitions include “Behind Closed Doors: Art in the Spanish American Home, 1492–1898” and “Wangechi Mutu: A Fantastic Journey.”

The craft show entrance fee includes Museum admission. Tickets are $12 for adults, $11 for seniors, $6 for students with valid ID and free for children under 10.
