We're starting something new. We call it The Design Gym. After running our Design Thinking class a few times we wanted to do something more - something big. Instead of a two session evening class, we've decided to make it into a full weekend intensive!

What will you learn?

We'll talk about how non-designers (and designers, too!) can use the design process to approach their problems - any problem. We'll talk about how understanding the context and constraints of a problem can help you discover the key to a solution and show examples from real-world challenges.

We'll play sketching games, learn how to rapidly ideate, how to sort our ideas to create more ideas, and to how to present our ideas to teams.

You'll walk away with actionable storytelling and presentation techniques, design process and organization skills and sketching basics.

The Plan:

We'll kick-off with a Friday night hello, some drinks and some design tactics. For day one, we'll focus on giving you a bag of tricks and perspectives on the design process. On day two, we'll make you use those tricks in a no-holds-barred design smackdown. There will be special guests! There will be real-world problems!

When we're done, your Design muscles will be strong! Our friends from Jump Kitchen are going to cater the whole event, so you can focus on the work, not your stomach.

Good god, she's been here forever! Just say no thanks and move on. She's harmless.
