"An Imaginary Thing" Screening

"An Imaginary Thing" is a short documentary film. Bill Bartlett is a passionate children’s theater director and teacher who works with kids from all over New York City. During one particularly challenging summer, he is invited to put on an original play - by and for kids - in a theater festival. Bill is determined to include three children he met teaching in a Brooklyn homeless shelter in the cast, but faces profound personal and professional challenges in the process. 61 Local hosts a screening of the film and reception to celebrate with cast and filmmakers in attendance and a performance by Live Footage, the Brooklyn duo that wrote the film's score.
