Court St. Grocers Serve Up 'Geechie Boy' Grits Next Friday

Say farewell to May with some high falutin' comfort food in Carroll Gardens. The guys over at Court Street Grocers have created a Friday night prix-fixe menu fit for a Southern king.

On Friday, May 31 the crew will be serving a four-course meal including Trotter Terrine with Asparagus and Pickled Onion, Shrimp and Geechie Boy Grits, Fried Chicken, and Peanut Butter Pie.

What are "Geechie Boy" grits? We weren't sure either.

"Geechie Boy is an amazing mill off the coast of Charleston," he staff at Court Street Grocers tell us, adding, "Geechie is an old South Carolina dialect." 

Now the only question is: Does anyone know the geechie phrase for "This menu sounds delicious."
