Boerum Hill or Carroll Gardens? Alt Writer Chuck Klosterman Doesn't Know

The hip author is so new to Brooklyn he doesn't even know his neighborhood.

Chuck Klosterman has lived in North Dakota and Ohio, and is now a Brooklyn resident. (Go figure?)

The author, most well known for his pop-lit novel "Sex, Drugs and Cocoa Puffs," moved to Boerum Hill in January. At least, he thinks it's Boerum Hill.

"It's sort of like I live pretty close to Carroll Gardens but I don't live in Carroll Gardens," he told Gothamist in an interview. "I'm like closer to Manhattan, so think it might be Boerum Hill."

Dude, seriously? Why don't you ask someone!

While it's true that the boundaries of our local neighborhoods are somewhat blurred, any resident who actually cares about their community knows which one they live in.

He goes on.

"I'm not sure what qualities I like about it; I don't know what the qualities of Boerum Hill are supposed to be."

Hmmm. We think Klosterman should join the Boerum Hill listserv or attend a Boerum Hill Association meeting. Or, if he lives South of Warren Street, a Carroll Gardens Neighborhood Association meeting!
