BoCoCa is Home to More Celebs Than You Thought

Boldface names are moving to brownstone Brooklyn because they like the ability to blend in, says the Daily News.

Scores of celebrities are passing up Manhattan for the tree-lined streets of brownstone Brooklyn, says the New York Daily News.

Much ado has been made about NY1 anchor Pat Kiernan’s move to Williamsburg, but plenty of big names already live nearby, says the article. Here’s a round-up of the neighbors you may not have noticed:

Boerum Hill, home to – Dean Street, between Hoyt and Bond – boast residents like Pulitzer Prize winning-playwright Lynn Nottage, Pulitzer Prize-winning poet and novelist Jonathan Ames. Actor-wise, the neighborhood is home to , Keri Russell and Emily Mortimer.

In Carrolll Gardens, you might see Solange Knowles hanging out at Buttermilk Channel or her sister Beyonce’s favorite spot, Lucali.

And according to the News, Cobble Hill is home to novelist Martin Amis (on Strong Street), and songbird (on Amity Place).

“I wanted to see some sky; Brooklyn was like going to the country for me,” actor and filmmaker (as well as ) Michael Buscemi told the paper.
