Billy Joel Playing Barclays Center New Years Eve

The piano man is coming back to Brooklyn, to play his first full concert in New York City in more than five years. 

Billy Joel will play a New Years Eve show at Barclays Center, Rolling Stone reported Thursday morning. 

The concert will be the first for Joel as a headliner in the city since 2008, when he played the last concert at Shea Stadium. He returned to Madison Square Garden in 2012 for a Sandy relief benefit concert, but this year's Dec. 31 show will be his first time playing a full set. 

Ben Folds Five will be opening for Joel, according to Rolling Stone. Tickets for the show will go on sale Nov. 9, so says a recent tweet from the Barclays Center account.
