Assemblywoman Millman To Host Wild Rumpus at Library

A reading of Sendak's "Where the Wild Things Are" will be held at the Carroll Gardens branch.

But great books offer us all a respite where at least some of the things we want to happen, happen.

This Friday, join New York State Assemblywoman Joan L. Millman (52nd District) as she reads aloud from Sendak's Where The Wild Things Are at the at 11 a.m.

The event is part of the Reading Across America campaign, an annual initiative by the National Educational Association, which promotes reading aloud.

The Assemblywoman chose the book, her staff told Patch, because it is currently celebrating its 50th anniversary.
