Acclaimed Author Amy Sohn’s fourth novel, Motherland will be released this week, but if you want to see her read the best bits in person, you'll have to wait until September 5, when she stops by .
The novel chronicles five parents from Park Slope, Greenwich Village and Cape Cod, who “find themselves adrift professionally and personally” who use drugs and affairs as a means of escape.
Sohn recently caused a stir with her essay “The 40-Year-Old Reversion,” which deals with the “drugging, cheating, or going out too late and too often” she sees amongst her fellow brownstone Brooklyn parents. Sohn even mentions in the essay that the characters in Motherland are inspired by her neighbors.
Sohn in also the author of Prospect Park West, which gave the Sex And The City-treatment to Park Slope in 2009.
